Answers When You Need Them

Early detection is key when it comes to treating your furry family members. At Azalea Animal Hospital, Dr. Sydney Jay and our Whitehouse team offer complete in-house pet diagnostics, including advanced equipment and an on-site laboratory. This saves you time, money, and most importantly, you don’t have to sit around worrying overnight for results, meaning your beloved companion gets a diagnosis and treatment sooner.

Revealing What Eyes Can’t See

At Azalea Animal Hospital, our comprehensive in-house diagnostic capabilities provide rapid, accurate insights into your pet’s health. From digital radiology and ultrasound to complete laboratory testing, our advanced equipment allows for prompt diagnosis and treatment planning without the delays of external lab work. This immediate access to critical information means faster answers and more timely care for your four-legged family member.

Our hospital has the capability to perform various blood screens, pre-anesthetic bloodwork, urinalysis, and other types of testing right here in Whitehouse instead of sending samples to an outside lab. Our comprehensive laboratory services include liver enzyme screening, pancreatic evaluation, renal (kidney) profiles, complete blood counts, general chemistries and specific disease testing like FeLV and FIV in cats and parvovirus in dogs.

While we offer an extensive range of on-site pet diagnostics, sometimes your pet may need specialized testing beyond our scope. For those cases, we’re happy to send blood work or other testing to trusted outside labs and get those results back to you quickly.

Azalea Animal Hospital employs state-of-the-art imaging technologies, guaranteeing the highest quality of care for our patients. Our digital radiographs (X-rays) use electromagnetic radiation to highlight internal structures, detecting abnormalities including skeletal fractures, soft tissue damage, foreign bodies, and dental disease.

Our ultrasound technology creates real-time images of your pet’s body, revealing important information about internal processes, including the circulatory, skeletal, and gastrointestinal systems. When used together with X-rays, ultrasounds help us identify disease, blockages, skeletal fractures, soft tissue damage, and other internal concerns.
